Homework assignment:
1) Make three significant revisions to Essay 6. Be sure they are significant and that they actually enhance the writing (make it better). I will check these revisions tomorrow and grade them. (Use MARCCRT -- Seven Ways to Enhance Your Writing)
2) Read TOTC, Ch. 3, "A Disappointment". Do the usual mindful-reader tasks, working carefully and thinking deeply. Pay special attention to the metaphor of the "blue-flies", starting at the bottom of p. 69.

1. Students will learn more about our theme for the year -- CONNECTIONS.
2. Students will learn more about using Sparknotes to help with the understanding of a difficult work of literature.
