2) Tonight, read TOTC, Ch. 5, "The Jackal", and do the usual mindful-reader tasks. Be sure to read slowly and thoughtfully, like truly serious readers. Place your book on my table tomorrow morning before your first class, and pick it up on your way out at 3:00 pm.
