Homework Assignment

1) Post a comment on "The English Forum" by Sunday night. 

2) Again, practice reading aloud your passage from TOTC. Work on getting the right "mood" in your voice by raising and lowering your voice. Read like an actor on stage. Tomorrow, you will stand in front of the class and read your passage aloud for a grade -- and my standards for a passing grade will be extremely high.

3) Read carefully TOTC, Ch. 4, "Calm in Storm", and write the usual excellent notes on it -- a 10-second summary at the bottom of each page, and a three-sentence sticky note on 280, 282, and 284. Please use this prompt for each sticky note: "The most interesting event / idea on these pages was ...".
