Don't forget to post an 8-sentence summary on your Reading Blog each Tuesday and Thursday. Please include the title and pages read. Remember to post a 3-sentence comment on the poem of the week, by Wednesday night.

Homework Assignment

1) Emmanuel -- bring your speech to class tomorrow!

2) Write a special tribute* for John -- something that praises him both for his speech and for what he is as a person. Write it with care. Make it at least an 8-sentence paragraph, and something he will truly enjoy looking at and reading on the "9th Grade Speech" bulletin board. Print it out and bring it to class tomorrow. No wrinkles allowed. 

*tribute: a statement that is intended to show gratitude, respect, and/or admiration 

3) Read the TOTC pages announced in class. For this assignment, simply do a 10-second summary for each page, and a 2-chunk (6 sentence) note at the end of the reading assignment.
