Homework Assignment
1) Write a special tribute* for Cassie -- something that praises her both for her speech and for what she is as a person. Write it with care. Make it at least an 8-sentence paragraph, and something she will truly enjoy looking at and reading on the "9th Grade Speech" bulletin board. Print it out and bring it to class tomorrow. No wrinkles allowed.
*tribute: a statement that is intended to show gratitude, respect, and/or admiration
2)Post the second body paragraph of Essay 10 on Google Docs tonight. Be sure to re-read the assignment first.
3)Check the class website on Wednesday for Wednesday night's homework.

Today you will learn (I hope) something about how to raise a 'B' paragraph up to an 'A'.

2. A look at one of Mr. Salsich's paragraphs, to get some ideas about how to improve your own writing.
