Theme for the Year: CONNECTIONS

As you leave my classroom,
be sure to thank someone
for helping us have a good English class.

Homework Assignment
1. Post a summary on your personal reading blog. You have 4 weeks left to earn some serious points for your personal reading. Go for it!
2. On Google Docs, write the second body paragraph of essay 11. Please highlight and identify one example of an
 appositive as sentence closer
 and a
participle as subj-verb split

Here is an example by Mr. Salsich:
I am lucky to be teaching at an amazing school, a place full of young scholars taking notes, waiting to learn, trying to succeed, running the race of education, straining to reach the finish line on graduation day. My students, laughing at my mistakes and trying to give constant group hugs, are among the best I can recall.

3. Memorize the first 21 lines of "Ithaka" by Thursday's class.
