TODAY'S LESSON AND HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT
Today we reviewed the grammar, literary terms, and vocabulary for the week. Then we went over the new and revised rubrics for formal essays, and we also talked about how to listen to an audio recording of a play. Next, we listened to some of A Raisin in the Sun, pausing to discuss the development of the characters.
The homework for tonight is:
1) do an SRJ page for the pages we covered in class, and
2) do two more significant revisions on their essay drafts.
The homework for tomorrow night (Wednesday) is to write a thank-you letter to someone. Use the 11-sentence formula and the proper format for a letter. Bring an envelope with a stamp and the letter on Thursday.
