TODAY'S LESSON AND HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT
Today we checked last night's homework -- the first two paragraphs of essay 2, including examples of anaphora in italics.
We then discussed the theme for this year's English class -- CONNECTIONS -- and how it applies to our reading of A Raisin in the Sun.
Next, we discussed tonight's homework assignment (below) and took a good look at MARCCRT -- "Seven Ways to Enhance Your Writing".
Then we discussed the importance of visualizing while we read.
Finally, we listened to the audio recording of the play.
Homework assignment:
1) Make three significant revisions on essay 1 between 7:30 - 8:00 tonight.
2) Make three comments on partners' essays between 8:00 - 8:30 tonight.
3) Do a careful SRJ page on what we read in class. These must be turned in to me tomorrow.
4) Before 10:00, send a perfectly written tweet about today's reading in A Raisin in the Sun. Put #pps9eng inside the tweet. Leave 10 characters or less.
