Homework assignment:
1) Read TOTC, Ch. 5, and do the usual mindful-reader tasks. Pay special attention to the first two pages, 30-31, which have become quite famous among serious readers. Also, try to "visualize and memorize" while you are reading. We will have an oral quiz tomorrow, asking you to recall the details of the chapter.
2) Make one significant revision in Essay 5, using an appositive to expand and describe a noun.
